For Sofia Coppola's film "Marie Antoinette", Manolo Blahnik designed gobs of one-of-a-kind shoes in leading lady Kristen Dunst's size.

... that Cinderella's slippers are sadly unlikely to have been made of glass? More likely they were fur, but the story came about through mistranslation when the French for fur, vair was written as verre - glass.

“Cinderella” was salvation for the Disney Studio’s fortunes. Battered by foreign box office during World War II, the studio had not produced an animated feature since “Bambi” in 1942. Most of the studio’s efforts were focused on making propaganda and training films in cooperation with the United States government.
